If you are running small computer retail or repair shop, this invoice template can help you create professional invoices easy and quick. We now have a new version of this template on InvoicingTemplate.com, at Appliance / Computer Repair Service Bill Template. On the center of the form it defines the print area, which is the invoice form printed when you execute the print command in Excel. On the print area, you can find spaces for invoice#, invoice date, customer information (the "Bill To" area), and a section for you to enter your company slogan or service term. On the invoice form body part, you can list all the service performed, as well as all the goods sold. Each item on the invoice body has a "Taxable" checkbox assigned to it. Check the "Taxable" box to have the template calculates tax for the current item; uncheck it to exclude it from tax calculation. The invoice template also has other formulas created for you to calculated line totals, subtotal, total, tax and balance automatically.

This is another sample invoice form that is created from general sales invoice template. There are two columns on the invoice body within the print area, 'Description' and 'Amount', both are editable. The most interesting part regarding this free invoice format is that the 'Total' section (i.e. the summary section) was moved to the heading section of the invoice form, where we usually find the 'Shipping Address'. We cannot say which layout is the better one - to put the summary on the bottom, or to put the summary on the heading - what we can say is that, this is just a different invoice format.
The sample invoice template has 6 columns, i.e. 'Product ID', 'Description', 'Tax Rate', 'Unit Price', 'Quantity', 'Line Total'. The 'Tax Category' and 'Tax Amount' columns are outside the print area. With the 'Tax Category' column you can choose the tax category for the current invoicing item from a dropdown list. It is this category that determines the tax rate that will be applied.
Construction Estimate Template is designed for a company in the exhibit business that has several properties that make up the exhibit. 'Properties' refers to each subtotal field. For example, you can have two properties such as a custom cabinet and a reception desk. The template here designed by UniformSoft.com has 3 properties, but you can easily extend it to have 10 or 12 more properties to estimate per customer.
If you are running a gold shop or jeweler shop for selling gold products, try this free invoice template or receipt template. Per the business requirements, the form does not use the 'Bill To' and 'Ship To' sections, and all these fields are moved out the print area. Outside the print area there is a 'Rate' field with which you can specify the gold rate of the day, and a 'making charge' column, which is added to the line total. A 'Discount' field is also placed on the bottom of the invoice form, where you can specify the discount for the total order.
If you are running a retail store or shop, you may need a feature that could calculate change to pay back automatically. For example, if the invoice total is 105.75 and the customer pays 108.00, you would own them 0.25 cents. With this free invoice template, you just enter 108.00 into the payment cell and it calculates the change to give back (i.e. 0.25) using a simple Excel formula.
