At the first glance you may think that this invoice template looks very different from the other free invoice templates here made by UniformSoft.com, yet it is still created from the general invoice template shipping with our invoicing program - Uniform Invoice Software. All we done was moving the cells, changing the colors, fonts and borders of the cells / fields etc. - nothing special, but you get a very different invoice form. If you know Excel, you can do this too to create your own professional invoices by using our invoice templates as a starting point.
The invoice template has two columns within the print area, a description column and a total column. 'Payment Type' can be chosen from a dropdown list on the bottom of the invoice form. The invoice template support 'change order' - if an item on the invoice form has the word 'change order' within the 'description' field, the grand total of the will become the total of the line with the word 'change order' appears.

The discount column on the invoice body are titled with '%Discount'. As you can see, the discounts you entered here are formatted and seen as percentags. For example, if quanity is 10, unit price is 20, '%Discount' is 5, then the line total is 190. All the calculations within the free invoice template are done with Excel formulas. The most interesting part of this invoice template is that how the template translate address the Holland format - the template allows you to enter the client address information (both the 'Bill To' and 'Ship To' addresses) in 'City (State) ZIP' format, and then transform it into 'ZIP CODE space City' format, for example '567 AA Amsterdam'. The transformation is done automatically with Excel formula. Another point to notice about this invoice template is that the invoice body has 6 columns - since this invoice template is designed for clothing-related business, a 'Size' (Maat) column is necessary - and usually important enough to list it as a dedicated column.
The 'size' column added to the general sales invoice template allows you to further detail the clothes sold, in addition to clothing item description, quantity, price per unit and total price.
This invoice template sample was created based on the general sales invoice template. The most notable characteristic of this free invoice template is that the summary fields are moved to the top of the invoice form. There are 3 printable columns, line#, description and amount, reside within the print area. The line# column is filled in automatically when you enter an amount; both the description and amount columns are editable.
On the top of the invoice the form shows your company information and the big word 'INVOICE'. Following it there is a customer section located on the left (usually titled with 'Bill To' in the templates available on Uniform Software - but this type of static text can be changed easily - you can simply type in your own labels to replace the existing one.) At the right hand there are fields for 'VAT REG #', 'Tax Date', 'Invoice Number', 'Purchase Order #', 'Payment Term' and 'Due Date'. On the invoice detail section there are 4 columns inside the print area, i.e. 'Description', 'Price', 'VAT' and 'TOTAL'. Since this invoice template is designed for service business, the 'Quantity' column is fixed to '1' and located outside the print area. Another feature of this invoice template is that it allows you to specify VAT Rate for each item (again, outside the print area). If your items are always at the same vat level, you can fill in the VAT Rate column and lock this column of values.
There are 3 columns on the invoice body, i.e. line#, description, and amount. Both the description and the amount are editable. If the amount on a line is filled in, the corresponding line# is filled in automatically using Excel formula. This sales invoice template has two taxes set on the bottom of the invoice form. You can modify the default tax name and tax rate to meet your needs.
